Skin Diary #3. Oil Based Skincare

Another blog post concentrated on the most popular beauty treatment among the luxury care lovers. People can't stop rambling on beauty oils and it's not surprising: variety of functions makes treatment oil an extra multipurpose product. Now there is so many ways you can use them. Safe your time putting all-in-one oil on your face, body and hair at once. Moreover, beauty oils contain a lot of natural ingredients, which is great if alcohol and silicones are not your best friends. Some oils cause a calming effect for sensitive skin, and some of them even absorb an excess oils and impurities. And also, it's a shame that some people afraid to use this range of skincare on oily skin. This skin type is also needs a deep nourishment of epidermis.

So there are a few of my favourite oil based skincare products to distress and feel comfortably nourished this autumn.

In the shower:
L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil. The smell. Men, it smells so good! I can't describe the flavour, but it's definitely sweet and woody at the same time. Warm almond scent follows me through the day and when I sleep. In addition to elegant aromatherapy for the soul, my skin gets deep nourishing care. Any other shower gels on the market I've tried doesn't cause such moisturising effect, I don't even need to use body lotion after shower. I also discovered another way you can use it. Contacted with water formula transforms into gentle foam, which smooths your skin and softens the hairs, so the process of shaving is much easier and prevent skin irritation. "Liquid gold" is poured in the transparent glass bottles, so it makes them look pretty on the shelf and luxurious to use.
To clean the face:
Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel with Marula Oil. It is one of sensational formula cleansers. Soft comforting texture melts-away the heaviest makeup and provides deep nourishment. Like peel-off mask, it feels tacky at first, but when you gently massage it on your skin cleansing gel transforms into an oil. By adding water you tern it nice foam Triple-texture cleanser suitable for all skin types, but I would say for normal to dry and sensitive skin. Leaves the skin feeling clean but not tight. Oil based cleansers are especially great if you have sensitive eyes.

And moisturise:
Currently I'm using Clarins Santal Face Treatment Oil. Just 3-4 drops of oil mixed with a little bit of my daily face lotion (Clarins Camomile Toning Lotion) do magic to my face. High concentration of vitamins and plant extracts makes the consistency of face oils much thicker than other moisturisers. It takes longer for pores to soak up dense formula. That's why its recommended to mix face oil with your daily cream or toning lotion. This way skin absorbs oil easier. I also have a fuller review on Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil here, so go check it out if interested.
